Rear Differential Question.

Hello guys, my rear diff is making a whining noise and I'm planning on replacing the whole assembly. I was just wondering if part #8485723 is the same as #7605589. It seems like my car originally came with 7605589. If I do purchase a 8485723 is there any modifications I need to do? Thank you very much! BTW I drive a 2012 BMW F30 320d AT. Thanks again.

BMW says those part numbers are interchangeable.

Hi there would those parts be interchangeable the other way round. So my car has part #8485723 and the used ones I have found are #7605589. They both have the same ratio. Thanks

Interchangeable is interchangeable....either direction.
