BMW 437m Wheels on BMW 328I X-Drive.

I recently purchased the 437M wheels for my 2014 BMW 328i XDrive .

The wheels came directly off an M4 with the OEM Specs
255/35/19 19x9 ET 29
275/35/19. 19x10. ET 40

I understand this will not work with the X-Drive system so I decided to square the set and bought 2 more 255/35/19 to match the front

My question is, Am I safe with this set up? I dont want to run this risk of messing with the X-Drive, Transfer Case, etc. I've noticed my EPS seems to be heavy one second then lighter the next. Perhaps I need a 4 wheel alignment. Has anyone had this EPS issue resolved with a wheel alignment? Or potentially this could be a SAS issue

Notes-
Stock suspension
Not lowered

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Not sure how much my offset has changed with moving down the rear size from 275/35/19 down to 255/35/19 . I've noticed my EPS seems to be heavy one second then lighter the next. Is this incompatible with the F30 X-Drive?
there should be no issue with 255/35/19 square and x-drive.

changing tire sizes WILL NOT change offset. the only way to change offset on a given wheel is, spacers to reduce offset or shave the hub to increase(not recommended)

you're the first report i've seen of EPS affected by swap to wider front tires on a wider track.

I'm running that setup on my xdrive wagon. No EPS issues that you're reporting however.

Thanks so much for the feedback. I am new to this but was wondering if perhaps a 4 wheel alignment will resolve some issues I have with EPS?

Thanks so much for the feedback! So you are running the OEM 437M wheels on the X Drive too? What noticeable changes have you encountered?

19x9 ET 29. 255/35/19
19x10 ET 40. 255/35/19

Yup that's what I run. No noticeable changes from stock. Maybe slightly stiffer ride due to less sidewall but nothing too crazy. I think the rear is stretch a bit too much for my taste; I'll probably switch to a 235/40, 265/35 combo when I change my tires to help with that.

Yeah I agree The stretch is there but very minimal. I think my concerns with the EPS is stemming from a needed wheel alignment. Is this something that would make the EPS feel wonky? (Wheel misalignment)

I'm not sure. EPS issues could be related but best to pull codes to see if there's anything first. Could be fault on the rack or something else. I haven't had any strangeness with my EPS through the various tire sizes and diameter combos I've had.

If I am not mistaken, there is also an option to keep the expensive and grippy rear 275/35's and replace the fronts to 245/40? I am using this setup on my not lowered x-drive and I am happy with it.

Ok I will plug it into Carly App and see what happens. When you upgraded wheel sizes did you notice your car having less fuel efficiency? My MPG went down when I upgraded to 19" 437M

I didn't notice any change but I don't really track my fuel economy closely after going stage 2 tune.

No, just asking... thought I've seen this setup before, with no issues reported.

Do you think you can provide some photos of your set up? (I.e poke, front side view, rear, etc . It would be greatly appreciated! I just want to compare how mine looks

My current setup on 437m. I'm lowered on b14s with custom spring rates and running -2.8* camber front and -1.8* camber rear. Not for fitment reasons but so I can push harder on track.

For a bit better idea of how they'll poke/fit on stock xdrive suspension, here's my 513ms that I happen to take some photos from when I was still on stock suspension. The tire size is a bit shorter than OEM (25.6" instead of 26") so your gaps will be a bit smaller. But the poke and overall fitment will be the same as 513m's are the same width and offset as 437m, just 1" diameter smaller.

Looks great! Here is mine on the 437M set up

255/35/19 19x9. ET 29. (FRONT)
255/35/19. 19x10. ET 40. (REAR)

Photo 1 - Rear Tire Stretch on the 19x10 Tire

Let me know what you think!

Initial Impressions:
- Noticed MPG went down from going from stock 17"
- Handling Performance Increase
