Best option to make brake dust simple to clean?
Hi all,
I am looking to proactively treat my wheels with something to keep brake dust maintenance to a minimum. Is putting a couple of coats of wax on them a good idea or is there something else I should do? Thank you from a total Newb.

Use Armor All Outlast. You spray it on every time after washing your car. It repels brake dust like magic.

Gtechniq c5 have a Google for this.
Had it on my E90 and was still holding strong 12 months on. Have yet to apply it to my F30 as I am having the wheels refurbished.

A sealant application will last longer than any wax on the wheels.

Heads up for anyone reading this - I bought this stuff recently and it does not seem to work well on black rims. I have 437M OEM wheels and this stuff left all kinds of ugly white marks and residue unfortunately. I'm sure it's much better on all chrome.

There are brakes pads that generate less dust. It's the root cause of dust for the lack of a better word. When do you think your car will need new brakes pads?

+1.
If you track the car, there's no product that is going to keep your wheels clean. I just recently bought some drill/impact driver wheel whoolies and brushes. The best I can do is make the job of cleaning them easier and less time consuming. Let the machines do the work. |
