Silverstone interactive museum

Anyone visited the Silverstone interactive museum? Looking to go, but looks like its more orientated towards kids?

Went to it last year, I think they have made some changes but back then it was for younger kids (not 11-13 yo).

As someone who loves endurance racing, F1 etc, it was a definite let-down.

The nephews liked it but wanted more car stuff, as I recall.

I've been - much more of a kids thing but they do have some F1 cars and components on show ( Mercedes hybrid engine etc ).

A lot of the Silverstone history as well. I thought it was worth the entrance cost and you can go out and walk the old track bit ( bridge corner to the end of the Wellington straight ).

That's true re walking out - it was chucking down when we went so there no interest in taking a walk outside.

I'll be honest in saying I wanted/expected more than a few F1 bits and the history of the airfield/circuit and a few games.

Ah sounds disappointing, booked tickets for tomorrow as it’s raining and thought a museum would be a good day trip.

Was actually pretty interesting, lots of knowledge and info about the track itself and the mechanics of f1 cars/bikes.

Took about an hour total for the museum visit. Obligatory pic:
