Drywall Spackle on hood

I don't know how they did it but a contractor somehow got a few small boobs of spackle on my hood. What's the safest way to remove it without damaging the paint?

Maybe make a little playdough/synthetic clay dam around it and let it sit for a while.

Spackle is pretty benign. Literally wetting it will turn it intoud again you can just rinse away. It's abradice so don't scrub.
