Fixed rear lip spoiler - has anyone installed one?

Has anyone looked into or installed a rear lip spoiler on the trailing edge of the hatch, aft of the deployable spoiler? Like in attached photo taken from online Chinese store.

Haven't seen anyone on here with it. I personally think it would look weird once the spoiler is deployed.

I'm more interested in seeing someone with an aftermarket cf diffuser. So many photos from the Chinese sellers but rarely see anyone with them installed. Sucks we don't have more aggressive aftermarket parts for the f34

Yeah that was my concern too about what it would look with spoiler deployed. The only picture I can find is the one below but a little hard to tell since both spoilers are CF. It would be nice if they showed it from several different angles. If did it I’d keep it body colour.

The fixed wing just doesnt flow right when the real one is deployed; looks off/wrong. I dont mind it when the wing isnt deployed though

Have you thought about the aftermarket ones that replace the oem one, they have a bit of a lip/ducktail to them?

I just installed the same one Rambleon84 has.
Still not sure if I like the look of the upturned tail.

Deployed and retracted on my F34.

I don't mind the look of that, but I don't care for the color. I'd rather it match the body, so it has more of a OEM vibe than an add on.

Yeah, I agree, would like to see one of this paint matched. If i got one, thats the route i would probably take. Give it a more subtle oem+ vibe

It blends in fairly well with the dark glass.

Fixed lip spoiler installed

Against all your advice I did go for the fixed lip spoiler - body coloured. I wasn't too keen on the ducktail spoiler when stowed, and I don't mind the fixed lip spoiler in combo with the stock spoiler deployed - not that it is deployed much. When stowed, I like that it kind of hides the cut line between stock spoiler and hatch lid.

Looks great with the wing down. Can you post a picture with the wing up? I'm curious to see how it looks.

Looks better paint matched, more subtle. I second, any pictures with the wing up from a few angles would be nice to see

So it sits behind the movable spoiler?

Looks good down. I also want to see it with it raised.

How did I know that you guys would want to see the stock spoiler deployed?

Yes, the fixed lip spoiler sits directly aft of the movable stock spoiler - right at the leading edge of the fixed hatch panel. It does not interfere with the kinematics of the movable spoiler - even though I was a bit nervous about that.

That definitely has to make some interesting changes to the airflow aft the opening.

I’ll do the CFD analysis on this and get back to you with the results. But then again I have taken it to speeds above the deploy speed set point numerous times and the car is still shiny side up and front pointed forwards!

Cheeky .... Looks really good with the wing down and pretty non offensive to me with it up. Overall I'm liking it!

mgbabe and @rbmw Where are you ordering your rear spoilers? They both look good. I just picked up a 3GT m sport for my wife. The trunk needs a little something a visual uplift.

I've seen the ones on EBAY and other sketchy sites. I want to make sure I'm ordering a decent quailty spoiler. I'd love your advise.

I got mine from a Chinese site. I chose that one since i could chose it to be painted to match. Not many fixed spoilers available when I looked and most were either unpainted or CF which I didn’t want. I did have a little problem with the vendor since he later changed the ad to unpainted and wanted to charge me extra for painting it. But I had the original ad still and he finally relented and sent it painted as originally ordered.
