I have a 435i with a muffler delete and jb4, my question is why does the car seem to shift automatically for me when in M1. When I am in M1 and floor it, the car doesnt rev out 2nd, it just quick shifts into 3rd. Is there anyway to get 100% control of the shifting?

In other words, car wont let me rev out 2nd gear.

As far as I understand, it's a bug and it happens only in Sport/M or Confort/M mode.
I opened a 3d on the point a long ago and I solved the problem by updating the software. Now it's perfect and there's no "double shift"

Which software update? I did the latest usb update. Is there a separate one ? Thanks

Sport +, shifter to the left, going into M1, wont auto shift for the rest, in normal sport mode, it will shift for u automatically when u get near redline in M shifting

No, no, I meant an overall update of all ECUs and you can't do it per USB!!!
You have to go at the dealer and they will update (if you indicate the issue without any charge).

No, this is not the "double shift bug": you're describing the normal behaviour of the ZF8

Yeah that's exactly what happens to me, but in Sport+ it doesn't. So maybe my update is fine
