Stunned! (A Bit Over-dramatic)

Had my tires rotated today and asked tech to take a look at rotors and pads. Mileage-wise, I am overdue by all my previous experiences. To my surprise, Tech said I had plenty of rotor and pad left all the way around. Went out to look at them with him. Yup, probably got another 20k or more. Not bad for original rotors and pads- 98,248 as of today. I haven't changed my driving style since my 99 540 or 08 335i which nominally got 40-50K from rotors and pads. Can't explain it, but works for me!

Not sure if your specs are displayed in your signature because I'm on the mobile app. But it would be quite helpful if you tell us what your brake setup is.

Not surprised. It's why I told people to stop crying when BMW removed brakes from the free scheduled maintence.

I've found that the F-series experiences much more engine braking when coasting (I know there's sailing in eco pro but that's different) that I never go hard on the brakes. Perhaps it's because the 8HP is in full lockup and the alternature(sp?) is charging* at max?

*Ever notice that the vehicle won't going into a charging state when coasting in eco-pro because of the 'sailing' featiure, but will in the other modes? I'm convinced that brake regeneration has nothing to do with braking, but activates when braking or coasting.
