I wanted to have some Dinan springs installed for a slightly stiffer suspension and more appealing visuals, so I contacted the local installer that is most highly-rated in the area.

They recommended *against* installing Dinan's Ride Quality and Handling kit - AKA bump stops.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this? If I follow their advice, I will save about $250-300.

Did you ask them why?

I did not. However, after reading into it for a bit after work yesterday, I decided I won't be doing springs unless I also do bump stops.

Got the Dinan springs for $60 off and got the bump stops at wholesale pricing after finding out the part numbers! Looks like 2 bump stops are from an M5 and the other 2 are from a standard 5-Series.

Makes no sense.

Can you tell me or list the part numbers. I would go ahead and install the springs. I have ACS springs I am going to installl. Not sure if the bump stops need to be replaced but I am thinking about getting them just in case.

I've completely changed it up and am doing coilovers after all, so I can't confirm these. I got them from another RWD forum member.

Did you have the Dinan springs on the car or the stock springs still?

I have not modified the base suspension yet, and do not have these bump stops in hand. I am no longer doing Dinan springs, I decided to do ST coilovers instead. They are essentially KW V1 coilovers with galvanized steel instead of stainless, at a great price.

So I am looking to keep the OEM bump stops while adding the Dinan springs. Has anyone had problems with doing this?
