+1

The JB4 does not remove the limiter unfortunately. Only an ECU flash can do that on the FX platform.

We can take care of that. We also offer Pure Stage 2 tunes and have been for some time. Our tunes are also OBD emission friendly.

I'm testing out my limiter at Lime Rock after Enzo tune this April, so will let you know.

PPK may have raised it to 155, which is what I had before, but if Enzo can confirm, it should be gone now...

This might be a dumb question, but I currently have the Dinan stage 2 with Dinan CAI and MPE.

If I wanted to upgrade the turbo to the Pure Stage 2, which components would I need?

Can I run this Pure Stage 2 turbo with the Dinan stage 2? Or would I need to remove that and get a JB4?

Depends how far you want to take it...

- ER Charge Pipe

- GFB DV+ (upgraded Diverter Valve)

- Maybe Intercooler

- Possibly upgraded plugs

- Possibly PDU's PI Kit

- Possibly Upgraded LPFP

You'll have to ditch Dinan and either go JB4, Flash Tune or Flash Tune with JB4 as a boost controller.

+1 pure turbo f30 335xi is a poor man's GTR. Weight is nearly the same, dynojet dynos from the same specialty-z dyno have very similar curve profiles.

It would be really cool if it could 0-60 in sub 3 like the gtr. 2014 335i's have launch control right? Do xi's?

F30 335xi
Pure stage 2
Downpipe
Chargepipe
Methanol or fuel pump upgrade
Upgraded axles
ZF8 TCU flash tune (availability?)
Upgraded rubber
500+whp/500wtq

$7-8k estimated parts cost.
You will not be getting GTR times with the xDrive 335i!!
Help me understand why, what's holding back the f30xi 0-60 from being gtr quick ?

I read that the zf8 is the same as the one in the rs7, sure it might need some beefing up but the rs7 parts are available, right?

The GTR DCT transmission was co developed by BorgWarner, the same team who developed the Bugatti Veyron DCT Trans. It is an impressive piece of racing machinery. Purpose built for shifting fast and withstanding serious abuse.

The ZF8 transmission has a large range. 8HP45-50 in most N55 models is made to handle 400 ft lbs of torque and maintain great gas mileage. the 8HP75, most likely in the RS7 has beefed up valving, internals etc.

Upgrading the 8HP in the BMW lineup is something we are working on. Unfortunately it's not as simple as slapping some parts together and getting GTR like performance.

Do you offer just a speed delimiter, or does it only come with the flash tune?

My car is xdrive and came with all seasons so was limited to 130mph, I can confirm that the the Enzo tune removes the speed limiter

You sort of answered your question - drivetrain, parts, etc.

Ok so your primary concern is the transmission, seeing as the parts are readily available I can't imagine it would cost that much to beef up the trans or swap out stronger axles, they already sell upgraded axles for these cars.

Maybe slightly off topic here but would anybody happen to know a reputable tuner who can bench flash/tune a FBO-ish pure stage 2 turbo car in the NYC/north NJ area (not Enzo, somebody who'd work on a 2013 pwg car) ?

I did a quick search around in the forums, seems like GSR+Mission are on the West Coast, Eurocharged is in Texas, ACF is in Illinois, and that seemed about it.

ACF is out of Brazil, they make "House Calls" here in the U.S...

Question for the forum. I'm planning on doing the Pure Stage 2 turbo upgrade as well as the Port injection upgrade. Since I'm not doing them both at the same time 6-12months apart. What would you recommend doing first?

Probably PS2 turbo imo. That way you can dial in the turbos for optimal usage without the PI. To me port injection would be rather pointless unless you need it and the stock turbos will max out before you need PI.

You need to get the N20 T map 3.5 bar, and go into your jb4 user settings you will see N20 T map (0/1).
Type 1 in the box and hit save after installing your t map and you will now be able to exceed 21psi without dme freaking out.
