Park Assist Error

Hey Guys

Recently got the the following error on my 2014 428i convertible

Parking assistance - No parking assistance, please park unaided. Have the problem checked by your service partner.

After trying to work out what happened, I realised someone has hit the back of my car (near the right reverse sensor) and even though the sensor looks okay, I have a feeling that this may be the reason.

Does anyone know where the PDC module is located on a 428i? I'm thinking of looking into that before I remove the whole back bumper to check the sensors.

Also, any tips would be appreciated.
Thanks

You don't need to remove the bumper to access the parking sensors. You can access them from under the car.
I bumped my car and the parking sensor fell out. It's only held on using double side tape.
The PDC is most likely in the boot. I would just change the sensor first.

Thank you,

Are you able to confirm that I can access the sensors from the bottom of the car on a 428i convertible?
I had a quick look but not sure what I'd need to remove to gain access

It should be the same. I think I needed to loosen a black plastic trim depending which sensor you are trying to access. I don't remember it being that difficult. There is enough space to get your arm in.
The sensor itself is clipped into to a painted plastic surround, this is stuck to the car using double sided tape. I would try leave that on the bumper as it's orientated to match the contour of the bumper.
Not sure if the sensor is push clicked in or twist clicked in.

Update:

Managed to take the bottom of the bumper off and noticed the the wires connecting to the right reverse sensor had been cut clean.

Looks like something must have got in there and chewed through the wires.

Anyways, I connected the wires again and good as knew.

Thanks
