This discussion about headlight brightness popped into my head last night as a brand new Lexus SUV came up behind me. Even with my rear window tinted & the rearview mirror fully dimmed, the lights were blinding from several car lengths back. When it got up closer I had to squint my eyes because of the amount of light coming into my car. Ridiculous.

yeh anything with height is worse, especially when its a mod as they are rarely adjusted.

I have 2 cars with auto dim rear view mirrors. Have to say they are no where near the old manual adjusting kind with the tab you push-pull.

I know my prescription glasses do a fair job. I no longer have to squint, and the glow-halo-bright core or what ever one calls it to describe it for oncoming lights is reduced to an acceptable level. They do have a slight yellow tinge to them however, you get use to it but you can not say its 100% natural or un-tinted.

Anyway apologies for pulling the thread of interiors.

I have yet to see a youtube review of the new X3 that is not critical of its interior. The concensus seems to be that it is plasticky, devoid of physical buttons and spartan. This brings to mind the 2012 Honda Civic that suffered the same negative compaints about its interior and stark exterior trim. However, in defense of the Honda, it was half the price of an X3 at the time. Well, just one model year later, Honda released a revised version of the same chassis with upgraded interior and altered rear trim. Should sales not go well with the latest X3, I wonder if BMW's traditional mid-model upgrade will not come sooner.

In defense of BMW, I always thought that it produced some of the better looking interiors relative to Audi, MB and most other vehicles in its class. So I wonder what I will do when my current F25 is no longer viable.
