'Coasting' issue

I wasn't sure where to post this, so if it should be somewhere else in the forum please feel free to move it.

OK, I have a 01/2015 build F36 435d xDrive with Sports Auto transmission.

In the owners handbook, it mentions the coasting function. (Sailing in USA)

Now, I took the car out for a longer drive than normal today, and the function just will not work.

The engine was up to temperature. (100deg on IC dial)
Cruise control OFF
ECO-Pro enabled
Feet off the accelerator and brake pedals completely (rolling down a very gentle incline, numerous times!)
Gear selector in D

The battery 'must' be OK as ASS is working as it should.

Any ideas folks?

Could I have inadvertently coded it out when enabling EBT, ECO-Pro start or other functions?

Thanks in advance.

Stu

Is the function activated in the settings menu?
You can find it under settings-> EcoPro somewhere.

I've had a look but couldn't find it.

I'm sure it's not a selectable option.

I've got the eco-pro code at start as well and not a problem with this.
Sometimes the coast will work and itll idle at just above 0 and other times itll hang at above 1000rpm. I read somewhere thats situational based on whether you are urban driving or country/highway roads.. but I havent researched it to confirm.

make sure your coasting is on within the settings for eco-pro in iDrive..

And i'm sure it can be activated/deactivated in the menu.
It can also be found in the operation manual.

If ecopro is activated, then the EcoPro message appears in the display. In the lower left you can see a gear wheel, where you can make settings when you press on it.
Under these settings you can activate/deactivate this function.

OK I have just been to have another look.

The handbook states the function is activated automatically in ECO Pro as long as all the criteria are met, yet goes on to state it can be activated/de-activated in the 'Configure ECO Pro' menu.

However, on my vehicle, that option is not present in the configuration menu.
