Steering creaking
I have read a load about this. There seems to a number of different causes of steering making noise with a number of different solutions ranging from a new rack to new strut mounts. I cant tell which issue i have -
It started several months back. I had ACS springs fitted a couple of years back. This only happens when manoeuvring. Seems to be an intermittent problem thats slowing becoming more consistent. It happens more prominently when the wheel is turned to the left. So the wheel will be over 50% turned and I get a clicking/ticking noise coming through the steering column. So its not the issue with loud knocking when turning or the one when you get knocking with rocking of the wheel from the centre position. Any ideas of the cause and solution OR what I can do to investigate to find out what it is. No warranty. |
