I got them on Ebay for $1250 shipped from "bmwspecialist".

$1250 is the cheapest I have ever seen them, as you probably already know. Its actually cheap considering what you get. Plus I sold my fronts for $400 + ship/fees so you can recoup 1/3 of the money. I also installed them myself which saved my the astronomical dealer/indy install prices. I also did the coding which isn't that bad.

All your upgrade talk has me itching for more. I don't know how much longer I can wait before buying a bigger turbo and BM3!!! I really think I need to get BM3 first just to get that out of the way.

If i really do add a big turbo, I think I want to add some type of fueling to get more out of it. What are my options? Theres meth and E85, but what does each entail? Isnt full e85 really expensive/invasive to install? Should I look into the BMS meth kit?

I'll let you know how my meth setup works out. The reason I stayed away from the BMS kit is it seemed as though you have to run the JB4 map and there's no way to just use it as a controller. I hated how my car ran with the JB4 and have no desire to go back that route.

Would a ps2 turbo bolt up to that? That intake seems like the install would be as invasive as a turbo install.

Just get a standalone kit like aquamist or snow performance. No need to get BMS as it's a hassle as you need JB4 to control.

Oh for sure. I was just talking about meth injection in general. My set up is going to be a little extreme...

So, I have been talking with VNV speed near Chicago, and he says that Pure stage 2 is almost 100% guaranteed to fail...yikes! So, with that being said, I will not be installing a pure stage 2. He mentioned that a stage 1 may suit my needs, however, I thought that a stage 1 isnt even an upgrade for an EWG car? I dont want to spend the labor money to install something that wont give me much of a gain.

He mentioned some ball bearing turbos, which I assume are the speed tech ones. I'm still awaiting his response.

If I can't any more reliable power out of this car, I will seriously debate selling it and move into an ATS-V or M3/M4... ughhhh

I have the Armytrix quad tips. You can probably make any tips fit with custom fabircation. I had to have my armytrix catback alightly adjusted to get their own tips to fit.

Alex is running the NOZ ball bearing turbo on his X4. I assume he is referring to those.

Not sure how he assumes ps2 is guaranteed to fail. Everyone is running it without a problem and there are no reports of it on the forums. I highly doubt pureturbos suppresses it either. I keep hearing these stories of ps2 failing but have yet to see evidence, someone please show me please lol

Yea I dont get the warm and fuzzy hearing it, but i havent seen any case where it has either. I also doubt ill be pushing it anywhere near as hard as some people do.

That's the thing, if it does fail I'm pretty sure looking at the forums, they're probably running 25psi+ daily or something. I highly doubt it'll fail below that, especially if you're running pump.

Coils are usually easier to do sometimes because you don't have to deal with removing the springs from stock struts etc.
