If you can do without the car for a day or two then you should be able to get them re-plated by a local company. I'm rebuilding my Impreza at the moment and have had about 10kg of bolts and cleaned and re-plated for about £50. And that's been gold passivate rather than just plain zinc as they are. Might be a lot cheaper than going to BMW. Certainly just four suspension bolts from Subaru would be £50!

mine rusted too , quick go with the sand blaster using glass bead and they're as good as new .
it's the coating that corrodes not the steel !!

Zinc doesn’t corrode. Steel does corrode. It was the steel that was rusting due to a damaged (or possibly just too thin) zinc coating.

I suspect your bare steel bolts will start rusting very soon.

Yup, 100%. Steel and iron are the only things that rust. And unfortunately plain zinc isn't totally impervious as it acts as the sacrificial metal. If exposed to salt, or is breached then the idea is it protects the steel but eventually it will rust. This is why Subaru bolts last forever, as they are then subsequently chromate and then gold passivate coated which protects the zinc that's protecting the steel bolts.
