In to my third year of ownership of this 17 plate 440i, bought it 11 months old with 11,000 miles on it, now coming up to 20,000.

MPPSK with carbon tips.
M performance side skirt decals & side extensions.
M performance carbon boot spoiler.
M performance rear diffuser.
M performance foot pedals.
Black grills.
Maxton Design front splitter.
Autoid carbon mirror covers.
15mm Eibach rear spacers (fitted after pic)

Only negative is the higher rate car tax but I knew this when I bought the car and it's not the cars fault!

Got my 440i in February but with the pandemic I'm only doing about 20% of the mileage I was at that point now.
I would have liked the M Sport Plus pack, but surround view was an essential feature for me and I couldn't find a car with both.
I managed to get over to Germany in August and ran it around the Nürburgring a few times. Very different experience from my 420i which I had there last year.
No plans for any mods at this stage but might look at a remap in a few years when it is out of warranty.

Also, I like the rear splitter as it seems to compliment the side skirts. Maxton only sell for f32 though - is that what you got?
Yeah its just the F32 one. Fits perfectly.

Would love something like this (plastic rather than carbon), but nowhere to be found. Will give that Maxton splitter a go

Does the "textured" option match the diffuser and side skirt material?

Tbh, I see more of them than any other. I rarely see an F31 though.

I have the textured one on mine, and while its not exact, I think it matches well anywhere more than about 2 feet away lol.

From the VEH0160 report published by DVLA the total registrations over the life of the F3X are

340 GT 39 (32)
440 GC 1,918 (1,768)
340 2,714 (2,540) (sadly no split F30/F31)
440 3,062 (2,865)
Total 7,733 (7,205)

So maximum brownie points to anyone who spots a 340 GT and in general we're in a pretty exclusive club.

Out of interest the M340i registrations over the 4 quarters up to Q2 2020 are 1,302.

Edit - have added above in brackets the numbers still licensed at Q2 2020 per report VEH0120 - presumably the difference being write offs and stolens.

Edit 2 - assuming the model references are correct the 340 registrations include 139 manuals and the 440s include 114 manuals. The 340 GT and 440 GC are all shown as autos.

I honestly am shocked to see as much (still rare) as that sold! Knew the 440 would be the common one, it makes the most sense, sad that the 340 numbers cant be split, if i had to hazard a guess id say less than a 1/3 would be tourings ?

I very rarely see a 440i GC (unlike the very common 420i GC). And when I do see one it's always bog standard so doesn't really stand out

Mines a reasonable spec 440i GC with MPPSK and an individual colour, champagne quartz. Long way from Londinium though.

mine was for sale but realised the car has such an amazing drivetrain and makes for an excellent project car so decided to keep it and begin the mods instead. I don't know anything that comes close for the money. With another £5k in mods, it can be an M4 beater on track for maybe 2/3rds of the cost. Infact, you'd still have to replace an M4's suspension and brakes to make it track worthy.

B14 kit, H&R anti roll bar kit and turner solid rear subframe bushings all sat in the garage waiting to go on.....should transform the handling. i can't wait to retest it at donington afterwards.
i'm never selling it........
