Car Play what years?

I did some search and from what I tell it's years from 2017.

Can anyone validate what build date or years that Car Play was available?

Is it 2017 forward of 2016?

Generally any BMW manufactured from September 2016 with professional Navigation and option 6CP would have it from provisioning excluding the F48 X1 as that particular model got it as of the 2018 model.

Is it possible to install new code on my hardware that will have Apple Car play?

I have a 2013 F30 335i with tech,premium, navi,convince and driver assist.

I am sure the hardware can run the code- just can it be adapted or does it exist?

You definitely need to replace the head unit with a newer one to be able to have Apple CarPlay.

I would assume this is not the actual LCD display portion, but a box or mother board somewhere inside the dashboard that has the logic?
