No doubt it will be a great weekend if you attend as a fan but for me is the sport moving away from being a sport to being entertainment - along with the Netflix show etc and three American races in a season?
Also agree the track looks crap.

Agree. This particular addition to the calendar feels very much consumer-driven rather than sport-driven.

Mercedes cars about a second off the qualy pace, that's an enormous gap.
Easy 2nd title for Max this year I'd say.

Good to see RB beaten again especially the most unworthy F1 champion ever, hope Charles stuffs him in the race.

What's really interesting is the Ferraris suffer from the bouncing effect really badly from looking at the Le Clerc onboards but still are quick and start from pole. Not sure it quite explains the Merc lack of pace.

yeah, uneventful, for the most part.
did lewis admit to the engine getting too hot? is the new cooling not as good as the old system? red bull reliability issues. have to assume it wont take long to sort them out though. |

Good race that - Merc did look like they had some race pace at last but still miles off Ferrari.
Shame for Max…..

It was an enjoyable race. LeClerc in a league of his own. Always great to see RB have issues!
The new regs definitely allow the cars to follow more closely from an aero perspective, but there's no easy way around the fact that it makes cooling much harder.

A lot of hate on here towards Red Bull and Verstappen.
Where's the sportsmanship ? When the Mercedes is porpoising so badly that I can see Hamilton's helmet bouncing up and down so much that I bet he has trouble seeing clearly, at 200mph should I be laughing out loud at my TV ?

His car breaks down and it's unacceptable, which is not much thanks to all the folk that work tirelessly to give him a good car season after season. I certainly took it as thinly veiled criticism of the factory. I'd be very happy to see Le Clerc, Ocon, Calrissian, Russell, win the championship. Anyone but Max for me.

And no you should feel sad that a 7 time world champ, the best in the business, has such a poor tool this season.... after all he was the perfect sport when he was cheated out of the title last year |
