Talking 1" lift?

I know i know. Haters gonna hate.

I am interested in this lift https://risingtuning.com/lift-kits/product-769
but with 20mm in the front.

I've found almost no info on people lifting their f30/f31. Just wondering if anyone on here has any experience with it.

EDIT:

20mm spacers back:

rear

front

That’s because literally NO ONE does it.

First, I applaud your moxie posting this question here. My suggestion is to go big or go home. Start with a 5" lift... just shove in some springs from a Silverado. Then, add 24" chrome rims with spinners and 20 series rubber. LED RGB undercarriage lights, and finish it off with a 12,000 watt sound system that takes up the ENTIRE trunk. Enjoy your masterpiece!

I did not intentionally lift the car but got 1/2" at front from Bilstein B6 Damptronics all around. Happy with the ride And the look. Only downside is I have to raise seat a bit to see over hood.

This is about all I've seen. Also, reverting from m sport to regular sport oem suspension (or again from sport to "base") would each gain about half an inch, so depending on how you're equipped you could raise the height that way but you're talking minimal gain for the money and effort invested.

He has a wagon, which is already xDrive and has the standard, raised xDrive suspension.

It's not my jam but there is definitely a trend towards lifting sedans and wagons. I could see more people opting for this to clear steep driveways and perhaps get a little better visibility around a sea of SUVs and trucks. Especially in regions where the roads get messy.

However, I reckon it's a mod with diminishing returns, our 03 ML500 used to have a commanding view of the road, now I'm generally obstructed by a larger truck or SUVs.

I just think the ride height could just be a lil' bit higher. My touring is squatting a bit.

Front is good. New rear b6 shocks and OEM springs are on order already, but I imagine the back will squat a little bit still. And lots of wagons that I've seen irl are too.

I'm looking for a small lift and a tiny bit of rake if you can even call it that. Wont go any deeper into the weeds than these spacers.

When i do it i will report back.

Okay, so i went ahead and got 20mm spacers for the rear spring and shock on ebay (~$130). Left the front suspension alone since it was already basically riding where i want it. Took about 45 minutes each side with jack and jack stands. Replaced shocks with Bilsteins B6's while i was at it and they were pretty much trash. Original springs.

Happy with the outcome. Haven't taken her highway speeds yet but no noticeable differences in sound/handling/vibrations so far.

My plan in the future when these tires are worn is to get a slightly oversized by 1-2% and get rid of the run flats. Get some nice all terrain with good snow capabilities.....Cant be assed to be putting on chains anymore when heading to the ski resort.
