325d - First 1000 miles
So I have had my new F30 325d M Sport for a week and just clocked over the 1000 mile mark. Not a nice sight as it now no longer feels that new!! However every time I get in it, I still feel like the day I picked it up. Finding every opportunity to take her out for a spin.
So having covered a 1000 miles the car is averaging 44mpg from new. Not bad I would say as it's taken a bit of a pasting. I did drive up to Doncaster and back yesterday which is a 250 mile round trip and that journey averaged 56mpg which I think is very impressive for a new car. Stuck mainly on cruise control at between 75 - 80mph but a few foot down moments when certain ( I won't say what make ) car drivers try and take the pi**. I love the 8 speed sport auto. Very smooth and a joy to drive. Gives a really nice power delivery and the acceleration from a standing start is becoming a bit of an obsession. Same as overtaking, the torque from the engine is just a pleasure. I am sure of the the 330/335d drivers will experience this a lot more, but I for one absolutely love my new car. Thanks |

Glad you're enjoying your toy!
Thanks for sharing, there really is a lack of information available on the 325d.

There's nothing better than self satisfaction with what you have! Congratulations, happy for you...
The first e90 I drove was a 325d in manual, and thought it was amazing, went and got the 325i petrol version, which for a 3.0l was absolutely gutless (no turbos) and the fuel economy was absolutely shite... Got around 17mpg in town, swapped it for a 335i and got 18-19 in town |

Sounds a great car and of course you retain the better balance over the front end with the 4-pot.
Have we had photos? It is the law you know

WHAT?? No M Sport Plus. No Professional Navigation? No Auto? Get-the-hell-outta-here!!!!!!! But all kidding aside, looks amazing!! Congrats. I'm chomping at the bit to order mine. Have it all spec'd out, just waiting for March to come around so that BMW and Arval can update pricing and spec. (around Business Nav updates). |

Slightly regretting it now to be honest, but a strict budget dictated no additions. And I really wanted a 325d over the 320d I will say that Rybrook Warwick did a great deal for me. |

At the end of the day, pretty much everyone has some form of budget. If you don't stick to it, it's beans on toast for 4 years Looks lovely and it's a great engine |
