What did you do to your F3X today?

Finally got my catted downpipe installed. It is a Circuitwerks 200cell. Pwg but the middle section is 4". No CEL guarantee and I came on immediately 🤣. Will add MHD soon.

At rhe time of purchase there werent any other options with an oem style bracket on the downpipe. Soon after CTS dropped theirs, making it the second on the market though.

Welds are nice, came packaged nicely. Exhaust note is throaty, ans really supplements the remus axleback nicely. Exactly what I was looking for. OE pops are audible inside the car with the windows up, and without being obnoxious. No rasp at all so far.

Why don't you go with catless?

I have a 7mo in my backseat all the time, and I didn't want it to get too loud. Not looking to scrape every hp out of the car or chase a number. Plus retaining SOME fuel burning element in the exhaust is nice.

Installed the Wi-Fi antenna in my F30, so. Ow the CarPlay works with my cell in my backpack on the back seat. Great not having to keep the phone restricted to center console. My CarPlay was added through code months ago.

Looks very good, I am still waiting on my MAD intercooler (backorder until whenever) but I might as well put a downpipe to be ready for stage 2.
How much was it? Where did you buy it from, I can't find a catted downpipe or any F30 335i downpipes on their website.

That's what I heard quite a bit before I did it - but honestly, it hasn't been an issue for me. I don't really do much driving at night anyway.

🤣🤣. My wife "approves". She doesn't find it obnoxious so that's a win for me. Haven't had any wiffs of fuel either. It will definitely change the tone of the stock exhaust for the better. You'll enjoy it

Yesterday not today, but...

- Oil & filter change
- Osram Nightbreaker xenon bulbs
- Brembo drilled/slotted discs
- Brembo Xtra pads all round
- Goodridge stainless steel braided hoses

I've had the car over 3 years now, and almost 40,000 miles in my time.
The first service I had done (BMW main dealer) it got a lipped discs note for all 4 discs on the BMW vehicle inspection, but I checked and wasn't concerned, and it was never formally picked up on MOT as an advisory.

Black Friday week last year, I kept an eye on Autodoc deals, checking daily for the best discounts, and bought some new discs and pads, and engine oil, which I planned to do when I took the winter wheels off and swapped back over to the summer wheels. Only just got round to doing that (it was still snowing here 2 weeks ago, and frost almost every night in April)

So much stuff I had to put it in the wheelbarrow to move from the garage

New discs, bit of surface rust. Just about see the new braided hose at the top right

Looks good behind the (dirty) wheels

Recently, my 2014 335i clicked over 150k. Still going strong.

I've only had 4 repairs during this time (and I'm not including anything that would be otherwise considered wear-and-tear items).

At 110k, had to address the Valve Cover Gasket
At 130k, had to address the Oil Filter Housing Gasket
At 140k, rear driver side wheel lock needed to be replaced (unsure why but my car failed Maryland inspection and this was the part that needed to be fixed to receive a clean bill of health).
At 150k, go-to-mechanic said that both control arms were starting to weaken, so replaced both of those.

All other components are still the factory-original the day I took possession, including the oil pan gasket and the electronic water pump. I did have installed a charge pipe as well as an upgraded intercooler back at 100k.

Swapped out the OEM mirror caps and boring blinkers with m4 style and sequential blinkers. Less than 30min job for both sides
