Good detailing locations + Opticoat
Does anyone know of or have recommendations for any good detailing locations in the DMV area? If so, do they provide Opticoat service and for how much?
Thank you! |

Opti-Coat in DMV area
Although I'm not an ultra-demanding detailing expert, I decided to chip in since I see that you've not exactly been swamped with replies. In Sept. 2012 I took my right-off-the-boat 2013 335xi almost directly from the dealer (no dealer washing, waxing, etc.) to Dan Cohen at dndautodetailing.com in VA. At that time he worked out of his own house but now I believe he's in a full-detailing partnership at a large site in Ashburn, VA. and does private party work on the weekends at that site. He seemed to me to be a thorough, straight talking and experienced guy who did what he promised and did it on time. (Also, he was a retailer for Opti-Coat and related products from that manufacturer.) I don't know how his business has developed since then, but I suggest you check his website and take it from there. Best wishes.

For Opticoat ( aka ceramic coating), I did not get it done on the F30 328i but they quoted me around $600 without looking at my car. It would be additional if the car required additional prep work to correct any flaws, swirl marks, light scratches, paint correction, etc. I would contact raja and see if he does this. Even if he does not provide the Opticoat service, I would use him. He detailed my E92 335i before I sold it. Other forum members have used Raja. He's the best in NOVA. He is in Sterling, VA. Search for him on the forum 'Raja Ventureshield'

+1 Raja. He detailed my E92 not long before trading it in about 9 months ago (pic just after the detail) and planning to have him detail my F25 sometime later on this Spring.

Raja! He works magic. Search the E92 forum for some pics.

Wow. SO many positive Raja reviews. I will definitely reach out to him when my car comes out of storage for the spring. The weather this winter has been pretty wild so I'll have to wait it out ...

I'm a pro out of Sterling specializing in paint corrections and coatings, clear bras, paintless dent removal. I don't post on here bc I'm not a sponsor but if you do a google search you'll get TONS of results!
Let me know if I can help out. Brian www.speedfreakdetailing.com Facebook.com/speedfreakdetailing

nope but I would to take my car to Raja or Brian instead of to a commercial car wash that does it all. They are usually staffed with guys who just dont have the level of expertise like Raja and Brian.
