Hey, did you ever figure out the coding for the ceramic iDrive controller?

I have the same issue; I swapped in a ceramic knob and I've had no luck locating the correct parameters to sync this switch and clear the error.

has anyone gone from stage 2 93 to stage 2 e30? would I feel an increase in power just by mixing e30 and reflashing to the bm3 e30 tune, like I said I am on a stage 2 93 tune now. just wondering if 100 dollars for the new tune would be more fun

Cold start delete problem

Hey all,

I just got BM3 for my 335, and I'm very happy with the power. However, my catted ER downpipe is louder than I think my neighbors care to hear, so I was hoping the cold start delete would help out. With full delete, the idle is pretty rough at that 700ish RPM to start. I tried going to a 1200 RPM level instead, but it wants to hold that level until the sequence finishes regardless of whether I'm parked or decide to drive off after a few seconds. It seems to be fighting my brakes during the sequence if I'm moving, and that's just not safe. Has anyone dealt with this or know if PTF might be able to address it? From other forum posts I've searched around in, it doesn't sound like there's another option that isn't at least going to be a rough idle. I can't deal with an Iowa winter with that. I think I'll just go back to being "that loud neighbor" if there's no fix.

Just do cat heating off and leave that idle rpm at oem and it’ll work perfect

If you're anything like me you won't feel a huge difference but you will feel it. It's definitely a quick tune. I don't have a stage 2 comparison but I ran 12.2 @ 111 on the OTS stage 2 E30 map, with room for improvement with my 60ft and timing being pulled slightly due to getting my mix wrong (I was closer to E25).

Just make sure you get the mix correct and it's worth it IMO. Also it should only be $50 for access to all the OTS maps on the N55.

why is it only 50 for all but I paid 100 for the first one
also I updated my obd agent to the latest one and it keeps telling me that I need to update the agent to flash a tune? do I need to uninstall and reinstall? I am using a Microsoft surface pro 2017 and an obd2 cable and usb adapter that I used when I originally flashed back in February of this year so I dont think there is anything wrong with the cable.

One map comes with the purchase of BM3. Then $50 for all additional maps associated with your car.

I've been rooting for you my man!

Knock detected multiple times in your WOT log and once more in the last one. Also looks like timing is being pulled on cylinder 4 in your WOT log, and you're overboosting in 5th gear.

What map is this? Octane?

I'd open another ticket with PTF. Even if you decide to sell BM3, I'm sure they can still help you figure out what's going on.

I'm definitely not the expert on it but I do know for fact that it has to do with the smaller compressor wheel on the turbo on pwg models and in the higher rev range it is out its optimal efficiency range. Ewg cars got bigger turbo and electronically controlled wastegate which holds boost higher in the rev range and is much easier to tune.

I believe PTF boost control strategy for the pwg cars requires a defined boost target all the way to redline even though the taper is expected. Potentially this helps spool and torque in the lower rev range.

I've just been trying to speed the process or not speed it but just see if the car is going to be ok with the tune if not so I can respond to the people that would want to buy it off me I replied to all of them already

hopefully after these logs I figure out if I keep it or idk depending on what ptf say.
