I just paid £644 for a full set of front & rear M Performance discs (TRW) and full set of EBC yellow pads. A few extras like cleaner, grease, threadlock, a pin punch and a set of small wire brushes and total price is £665 as doing the job myself at the weekend.

Have I been ripped off on the pads or have you forgotten to add the rears on? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DP42133R-...53.m2749.l2649 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DP42130R-...53.m2749.l2649 |

Sorry DriveS - if you've not opened them you might want to considering changing them. I'm now running Pagid Blue (RS4-2) on the front; Pagid Yellow (RSL1) on the rear. Yes they're more expensive but they're brilliant, even during an all-day track session pounding round Spa.

I’ve used EBC on cars and motorbikes but won’t anymore. On both the pad material came away from the backing plate. Even before that happened they weren’t anything special. Pagid have been much better value, lasted longer and felt better. Added bonus is they don’t give off too much brake dust either.

On the car they were EBC Red Stuff on a Mondeo Diesel estate so performance should have been well within the specs of the pads. Investigating noisy braking from the front and found the material detached from the backing plate. The pad material was only held in place by the pad carrier. Checked all the brakes and one of the rears had big chunks missing from the material as well as cracks. Pads were returned to EBC who blamed fitting, I fitted them and have never had an issue before or after. After much complaining they offered to replace them as goodwill but wouldn’t refund. Took the replacements and sold them on.
The motorbike was rear brake locking up briefly after braking for a corner. Luckily wasn’t going fast and was able to run wide onto the verge. Couldn’t figure out why it had locked up at the side of the road so went straight home to strip the brake and found one of the pads had lost its material and they were EBC fitted by the previous owner. |

I got ebc discs and green stuff pads years ago on my Impreza. The discs warped in less than 1000 miles, and the pads were shite.
I’d never touch ebc ever again. |
