Talking Picked up my new 3 Touring and departed for a roadtrip right away

So about a month ago, I picked up my new BMW 3 Series Touring from the dealership and started a 3000km right away.

I left the dealership and went straight off the Italy, over to France, Switzerland, back to France to finally head back to Belgium after 2 weeks and 3000kms.

Perfect way to get to know the car, feel how it handles, enjoy the additional space compared to my 1 Series and just enjoy the ride.

It's a company car, so no big engine unfortunately, but it's pretty well specced.

Some of the highlights:
  • Glaciersilber
  • Sensatec Schwarz interior (heated seats in the front)
  • Aluminium Carbon dunkel with Perlglanz Chrom inserts
  • M Sport Shadow Line with optional 18" Orbitgrau wheels and M Sport Suspension
  • Full LED headlights and fog lights
  • Automatic 8 speed gearbox
  • Navi Pro & DAB
  • Instruments combi high (digital gauges)
  • Business Pack
  • Advantage Design Edition

It needs the black kidney grille though...

Overall great car, very comfortable, spacious and still handles well in the corners. If I'd have a bigger budget, I'd go for a bigger engine.

Here's our roadtrip vlog:

Congrats on the new ride! Road tripping around Europe in a new BMW touring, it doesn’t get any better than that.

Thanks dude! So true, even though I go to those places every year in summer and winter, I still absolutely love driving on those beautiful mountain roads. Even better in a brand new car!

We love ours. Very nice video, you'll look back on it in years and enjoy.

Should have popped that rear window in the video!

For some reason I was thinking of this idea this morning.

I was in Germany in June and went to BMW Welt. May be next time I can do an European Delivery and start a road trip in Germany and surrounding countries before heading back to the state.

Thanks! Yeah, that's the main reason I make these videos. It's always nice to get more views but I do it for the memories.

What do you mean by "Should have popped that rear window in the video!" ?

Did I miss it? Or maybe not all F31's have this. Rear wiper, center of car where the motor would be, lift the little tab underneath with the car unlocked. Should lift open only the rear glass, mine does. Really convenient if you are in a hurry and don't need the action of the full liftgate.

Oh, you meant just to show in the video that the glass can open separately? A great feature in my opinion! Very handy indeed to grab something very quickly.
