Flat tire / Nitrogen fill experience
2014 4 series - Pirelli R/F
First - had my car for 6 weeks and picked up a nail. Knew that Pirelli has a 1 year full replacement due to any road hazards including nails, cuts, impact punctures, etc.. I went to my purchasing dealer and experienced their usual belligerent and disgusting treatment, they insisted that ti wasn't covered and was even told by the Shop Foreman that he has been in the industry for 31 years and he knows it is not covered. Of course it was covered as I said. I had to get Pirelli on my phone on speaker to tell them what the warranty was. The point here is don't believe anything a dealer tells you, they lie. Second - My dealership got my car from another dealer which uses only Nitrogen Fill for their tires. Even though my dealer is a high volume deal (just because of where they are, not because of how good they are) they seem to be the only dealer that doesn't have Nitrogen. I had to go to a regular local tire shop to have them purge the regular air and fill it with Nitrogen after they installed the new tire. I had them check the 3 other tires and they where exactly at 32 front and 35 rear. It seems as if the Nitrogen fill does what it is supposed too. Hope this helps anyone that gets a flat or is interested in Nitrogen fill. |

I'll never pay for nitrogen, not even for my track car. Waste of $$$. If it was free, I might make the extra effort, might. |
