50k mile intake valve photos

Hi,

Thought I would post photos of the intake valves on my
50k mile 2014 N55 for those who are curious how dirty they get. Overall not too bad, but I will be walnut blasting them nevertheless.

Essentially minor build up.

A perfect example of why BMW says to inspect at 100k miles.

I wouldn't bother blasting them. That's nothing.

Yep, only reason I’m doing it is I had the intake manifold off already and I have the equipment on hand.

Not necessarily. He would need to check his inlet/IC/CP to see if there is oil residue. The PCV feeds into the inlet. So if there's oil in the CP system it could be from that.

Yeah, I suspect it is oil from the crankcase ventilation system that directly empties into the intake ports as I have not noticed an oil consumption issue or any smoking.

Very nice job, yes it didn't need it but if you have everything and the manifold is off then why not.
