I assume the custom map is to calibrate the new HPFP. With OEM turbo do you feel significant change? Did you do another dyno run after upgrading the HPFP?

It made a MASSIVE difference. I went from 387rwp to 419, flatlining fuel rail at high rpms to full pressure. Custom tune is for the HPFP, more power and more.

So i just realize BM3 maps S2 and S2H has drop down menu to opt for XDI-35. Do you think it's worth the extra bucks to buy custom map or will S2/S2H will do just fine?

Well I think a custom map ultimately will get the most out of your car, but yes the drop down adjustment works just fine as well.

Just did this, took me 6 hours, but I spread it out over days... bmwdiyguys video was extremely helpful, a lot easier than taking the whole manifold off... i just got a custom map from jordan tuned and this car finally feels the way I wanted it. I have a 550 rwhp corvette and this car is finally comparable

A bit of an old thread, but I went to install an XDI-35 on my 2014 335iX following the video and it seemed to be going well until I tried to put my intake manifold back on. Some of the reinforcing webbing on the underside of my intake manifold is coming in contact with the pump and it won't fully contact the head.

Any ideas what I might have done wrong? I included an image of the installed pump and circled the portion of the intake manifold that is hitting the pump face.

You didn't do anything wrong.. I have seen several examples of that happening, and the easiest quickest way is just buff off the corner of the intake molding right there. Take off just enough material so it can fit back into place.

I didn't have to do that on my N55 F32, but then HAD to do so on my buddy's N55.. no clue why when the parts look the same.

Thank you for the confirmation!!! I didn't want to remove material unless it was clear the install/part was OK.

Oh I completely understand and couldn't answer why I didnt have to do so on my car, but then HAD to do so my my buddy. My assumption was I did something wrong on his, and even called a good (25 year pro mechanic) buddy who came over and double checked me.

He looked at it.. scratched his head, agreed everything was in right and straight and handed me the dremel. LOL

We carefully buffed off the corner, just enough for clearance, and it was GTG.
