Farewell 2015 335d M Sport Plus GT
Just sold my 3 GT today. I'm not a fan of doing deals on new cars against a trade in as dealers can easily dodge giving you the best price on both. I opted to sell it privately via Autotrader as dealer price was low due to having 72k miles on it. Tootle didn't get close to the price I was offered by a couple of dealers which was disappointing. I wasn't greedy as I know the car is not to many peoples tastes (which I don't get in the colour/spec I had) and at £15,400 got £1400 more than the best dealer price I was offered which was a good bit more than the balloon payment.
I have had no regrets throughout my ownership - I was doing high miles so the 35d engine was really the only option for me (as it has been since 2008). It gave a fantastic blend of economy & performance and the AWD got me out of some snow (I live in the SW so Winters just aren't worth the money or hassle). What you could do at the traffic lights in the wet with a DTUK box was just hilarious. I needed space but I don't like tourers/estate cars and the GC wasn't big enough and in particular didn't have the rear headroom 6' people need! So the GT gave the ideal blend and meant I could get my son's drum kit in along with 4 of us in the car. Interestingly it was pretty similar in interior space to the 535d M Sport GT I had before but externally was much smaller. Anyway, I don't do the miles now and don't need the space so at long last a chance to get the M3 CP which I am, as you can imagine after 15 years of diesels, albeit top end ones, really pleased with. I'd take another GT though if I needed the space again... Here's an interesting fact - the front wheel arch gap on my xDrive GT on stock springs (adaptive suspension) is the same as on my M3 CP! I think that is down to the GT having one size larger wheels than the rest of the F3Xs. I'd love to drop the front on my M3 but the CF splitter already scrapes speed humps if I'm not careful... We had a 3 GT here at work and it's the higher sidewalls to the tyres that make the wheel arch gar appear more acceptable.

OMG huge congrats man, that's some change up. M3 is an absolutely beautiful design, more so in YMB.
Thread title and previous car name was catchy Interesting what you said about the M3 front wheel gap....I was pawing over one at my local today and did wonder if the shipping blocks were still in the front, the rear looked very good, splitting hairs though. F80 M3 and those hips, fantastic!!! |

I like the GT. I’ve never really understood the vitriol aimed at it. I like the 5GT too!
