But, I note these are not SnapDragon and most people seem to be recommending SnapDragon. Two questions if I may -

1. Does anyone have a good, clear photo of how the original CIC scales up on the 1920x720 displays? Does it look rubbish?

2. Am I likely to regret buying a PX6 unit? What's the main reason people are unhappy with PX6? Customisation and audio DAC?

i got THIS one.
Put it yesterday in. Currently messaging with the seller over a small problem i got, but overall the first impressionis a solid "good".

When the last thing is cleared up (problem with micro sd card, small thing for me but hey, i want to know how good the seller is ) i can give a better feedback about it overall.

Took 15 Days to be delivered to me (Germany), no extra tax (seller pays tax), DPD


Oh and no, i didn't had to use the aux port.
HU_Entrynav, CIC-HIGH (NBT), Green cable trasnfered, Auto AUX in Factory Settings choosen.

mrsimes , can't help with first question but I'm really pleased with my Avin px6 unit, even more so since I fitted a screen protector, really taken the reflection off. First picture just taken,second one when first installed.

Since i am a android user. Can't give you much on this one. But you can contact them. They answer after 1 day (timezone~).

What is your problem with SD card ? I had a problem with a 4.4 unit where SD card reader will not be functional at all when connectig stripe cable was in the original position under the PCB . Rerouting it made the reader functional.

It looks like it fried a 128gb sandisk card (not recognized by windows and linux anymore, just nothing). Another 64gb Sandisk card was recognized, than there were a unhandled exception while formating it (wasn't fast enough to take a picture) something while calling a getId() function. Retried formating it, it went through, but didn't recognized it. Took it out and put it into my linux machine, it was recognized and hat the android expand partitions. Not sure if the partitions were correctly formated (didn't check). Will retry it later.

Welp, I went for a PX6 and I do slightly regret that. The OS on the Snapdragon ones seems to have minor updated features, like seeing that dashboard needle move from home, displayed cover art, searching media and unpair bluetooth devices.
Mostly I am disappointed about the sound output not being at least as good as the original HU. I tried to tweak it as best as I could but still it sounds like the speakers are inside of a hollow cardboard box. It's not thaaat bad, but still noticeable, especially untweaked!

I don't have the 1920x720 PX6 screen but I don't believe it's worth it. At 1280x480 the screen still looks very great, and you have to remember that the original HU was only at 1280x480.

Good night, i would like know because when i use my phone connected to bluetooth, i can not change my screen, i only see the bluetooth screen and i can not see google maps or other applications while i am in a call. The Bt app blocks the system.

Do you have the same problem?

I have Snapdragon 4/64Gb.

Stainy - your unit does indeed look identical to the ADC one and at a very good price from Fltonboo. I note it's described as having "special black screen", not anti-glare. What's it like for reflection?

I'm also liking the look of the units from NaviODM which do have antiglare, but no 4G native support or SD card slots on those. Decisions, decisions!

HI all

I suddenly come across this issue.
I use Spotify and Goodle map together.
When you listen to Spotify , the volume output seems to be very soft. So i just crank up the volume. But then when the Google Map start speaking, the volume suddenly blast out to it usual loudness.
Then when every the Google map "talk" the right channel will mute and the music + speech will comes out from the left speaker.

Anyone experience this ?

I just want something that's really solid for using CarPlay. I currently have a Unichip smart auto box but it's starting to play up and they seem to be dropping support in favour of their new wireless CarPlay unit. Thinking if I need to replace I'd be better off replacing with a touchscreen.

Paid 325$ on my 8.1 Android unit from Aliexpress. Same quality and look as their "quality" unit!

I've never seen on Aliexpress an unit like they shown on the left side )

I have no issue with reflection, but my interior is black and I live in the permanently dull UK It's perhaps slightly more reflective than the standard screen, but not massively different

Head unit will not be matte display like the laptop. If it is anti glare, it should have a special coating to reduce reflections.
But how could one say, if this layer is not peeling off like in Apple laptops ?

i do understand that it probably won't be as good as an expensive laptop. But to me it just looks glossy :-/ I ordered that specific one because it states that it has anti-glare as well as a snapdragon cpu and 4gb/64gb. Just wanted to check how others' screens looks like.

I have same dilemma . Try to figure out if it is worth going for what they claim to be anti glare , or black/blue display .
