F30 Base Audio Upgrade
Hi all,
So I’ve got an 2015 F30. It has the base sound system which, and let’s be fair here, is shockingly bad! If I get the OEM amp and wiring loom from the HiFi level system, can I just plug and play? Are the head units or ISO different? Would the amp need to be coded to work with my car? Has anyone installed an aftermarket amp to drive the factory speakers? Does that need to be coded? Any input would be much appreciated |

There's a high degree of coding required with an OEM amp, none with aftermarket. All things considered aftermarket is the better choice. Search the forum, you'll turn up helpful threads, like this:
