FOB - trunk button problem

Hey there,

I got a small problem with the 3rd button on my F31 FOB, the one that opens the trunk.

Atm, in order to open the trunk, I got to hold the 3rd button for at least 3 seconds and then, upon release, the trunk opens. Any release quicker than 3 second gets no action. If I just push it once, also, nothing happens.

I think I coded that with E-Sys (among many other things, that's why I am not 100% sure) via the "ticking system list" and dunno how to undo it. Or it could be a side effect from coding the inside car trunk open button, I dunno.

I would like to open my trunk normally, with a push of the 3rd button.

I already tried tampering with this:

HU_NBT/3000 HMI/KEY_CONF_TAILGATE
HU_NBT/3000 HMI/KEY_CONF_COMFORT
HU_NBT/3000 HMI/KEY_CONF_COMFORT_TAILGATE

but with no result.

Any ideea what to code or revert back to get my normal FOB function back ?

Any ideea or tip would be appreciated,

Thanks !

Kind regards,
Chris.

Isn’t that normal? Mine does the same, I thought it was to prevent accidental opening if the fob is in your pocket from an accidental press.

I think the behaviour is correct as is. The question perhaps is if the OP's request is even possible or envisioned by BMW?

Agreed. That's how mine worked when it (and the door frame button) would only open the trunk, that's how mine works since I coded them to also close the trunk. The reaction time of the door frame button is faster, since you're not going to accidentally push that button.
In order to change reaction time there would have to be a CAFD entry with werte values. There are none that I can find, only on/off (actif/nicht_actif).

I am pretty sure mine worked way quicker before coding it to also close the trunk. I was pressing the FOB button and it opened in like 0,5 to 1 second of constant pressing. Not only 1 short click, but constant 1 second pressing. Now it takes 3 to 4 seconds and it opens only upon release, so if i keep pressing it, nothing happens. If i release quicker, nothing happens. Me don't like it

Has your car been to the dealer recently? I'm sure I read somewhere here that peoples trunk/boot were randomly opening and as a result there was some sort of bulletin to the dealers to change the behaviour of the trunk/boot release button on the fob?

No, no dealer. Not needed and also trying to avoid them since I coded a lot lately ...I wont go there unless really necessary.
It just changed after I coded the FOB to close the trunk and/or the inside car trunk button to close the trunk.

The problem is that I did those codings via ticking them in the cheat list in ESYS. Normally I do everything "manually" so that I know after that where I made changes and can undo them. But for those codings I couldn't find how to do them "manually" so I used that list. The list, as far as I know, has only the option to "code" something but not to undo what done ... or maybe I missed something ? I wouldn't flash the whole car to stock now just for that, cus I already made a lot of changes ...

The delay for the mirror folding as well tailgate closing/opening can be changed with bimmercode (easy way) or with e-sys. I changed my 3 second delay to 1 second using bimmercode.

Hi there, thanks for answering. I got E-sys, no bimmercode.
Can you maybe tell me where to change that to 1 second please ?
Thank you in advance !

Did you try this:

FEM_BODY 3053 KOMFORT_SCHLIESSEN werte = 00 (werte 0F is default) Delay time to activate Convenience Closing via Key Fob or CA. (HEX)

Thx ,I'll try it tonite !

Nope, didn't tried that yet, I just tried HU_NBT/3000 HMI/KEY_CONF_TAILGATE

in HU_NBT, not in FEM_BODY.

Hope it works, tho I don't think I got CA ... I mean I can't open my trunk with my foot ...

Will check and report back, thank you !

Wanted to try it today, but unfortunately ESYS Launcher Premium is not working anymore Is there any solution yet ?

And BTW, KOMFORT_SCHLIESSEN means comfort closing and I was talking about opening the trunk ...
