What do you guys think/know if BMW will make another "si" or equivalent car based of the current F30? A road model for WTCC or some other homologation needed racing purposes? Supposedly to meet the emissions requirements is the problem with a naturally aspirated and high revving race ready street engine...
It'll be nice to see another "poor mans, when I grow up I'll be an M3" car. Your thoughts? |

You guys aren't true-blue BMW aficionados. The 'si moniker goes back to the early days (1970s) where the the letters were in opposite order to modern times.
For instance, Csi stands for Coupe, Sport, Injected. The batwing 3.0Csl was Coupe, Sport, Light. It was around 1990 that BMW changed to the current scheme. |

Love the 335is, but 320is was a limited run (2600 built) for WTCC homologation.
It was sold only in Europe ( ![]() ![]() |

My first car in 1986 was a 1981 E21 320is. I loved that car. Read about it here: http://www.bmwe21.net/?page_id=140
