F32 Company Car buyout - suggestions on maintenance
I am buying my company car from my employer, a 10 year old F32 428i with 22,000 miles/35,000 kilometres. The BMW maintenance was generally followed and the brakes and rotors were recently replaced.
I am looking for suggestions what maintenance I should ask them to do before I buy it out. I expect they will agree to some (and it will not change my purchase price). I will ask them to replace the tires, for a 10 year old car is it essential to replace the tire pressure monitors at the same time? They are working and I would prefer not to ask for this unless highly recommended. Something is leaking between the centre front of the car and the passenger front wheel. Any idea what this could be? I have adaptive suspension, but I'm hoping it is not something serious. Oil level is good, engine coolant looks low. The battery or spark plugs have never been changed. Any knowledgeable suggestions would be appreciated. Unfortunately I live in a country where I don't speak the language, so everything here is more difficult than it should be. Despite being low KMs, the car is not worth much, so I don't want to invest too much money in this car. It has almost every option, but as you know you can't recover much of this cost. |
