got a muffler and resonator delete a week or so ago and it was ridiculously loud on the first day but i feel like it isnt as loud anymore...am i just getting used to how loud it is or is the car re-learning itself from the lack of back pressure and changing something that could effect the pops/burbles?

Exhaust notes may definitely change over time compared to new. What brand did you get?

there is no brand haha its just a straight pipe all the way back after the cats

Or...perhaps you are getting use to it.. just like boost, when you feel 15 psi you feel impressed then after 1 month you want more. xD

That's what I'm thinking but I had someone else say the pops weren't as loud or often as usual. I hear you on the boost though haha I can ps2 in my future

This could be me being a psudoengineer but not really an engineer but I feel like even piping breaks in and gets a coated with exhaust gunk, soot, if you will and it kinda quiets it down

I 100% that fresh piping has a more tin like sound and I miss it so much. I think the coating kinda acts like a deadening. The car is still ridiculously loud haha

Yeah it has a. Wet metallic and hollow sound to it.

drone was ear piercing on the first day, 2 weeks in it is very deadened

ah shit youre right! didnt even thing about those muffler bearings! should have the shop dislodge the buttplug in the right exhaust pipe while they are at it

Yup it starts when blinker fluid gets low and the muffler bearings start running dry. There's a recall on 07-2011 for this problem
