Used F32 For Sale Review

So as I’ve mentioned in other threads I’ve been heavily looking into a F32 with certain specs. I’ve been looking at one in particular that is of interest to me. I wanted to get this forums opinion on it as it has some minor red flags. Let me know what you think. Overall it looks very clean

I am not close to the vehicle so I am unable to go check it out myself but I would plan on getting it inspected prior to purchasing.

Red Flags: the mods. It seems like the wheels are replicas. The 428i badge is removed. There is a trunk lip. Etc etc. I would much rather have a clean slate car that hasn’t been messed with this but these seem like minor mods and whoever did them had good taste. The car looks like it is in extremely good condition.

The other red flag is car fax reports minor damage....I am not super worried about this but like I said before I would have someone inspect it prior to purchase.

Btw. I plan on modding the car myself as well (wheels suspension etc.)

Try to get the price lowered due to rep wheels... they advertise 403m wheels. Maybe $22k....hahaha

This car looks great. Is there any particular reason you're not going for a 435i instead of 428i? It seems like the price on this one is close to 435i territory for a 2016. I understand not everybody wants or needs the extra power. I drive a 435i xdrive myself and bought it certified with 38k mikes fully loaded with M sport package including M brakes and suspension paid about $32k and it was 3 years old. You could definitely get a 2016 435i RWD for under $30k. But back on topic this one looks really good and like you said I wouldn't worry about the small mods like emblem delete and replica wheels which are still not cheap and at least they're M replicas lol. Definitely have it checked out tho and also try to get a different vehicle report company other than carfax like auto check, as I've gotten both before and they both have said totally different things. Also try to inquire about what type of damage the vehicle has and what was repaired. Good luck.

Thanks for responses. I have been looking for this very specific color combo and although I have absolutely considered 435is they rarely fall into my budget, let alone in this colorway. I am trying more for $25k range so this car is already stretching it. I plan to try and negotiate. If the right deal came around for 435i I would jump on it but I have been looking for months now and am ready to make a purchase. I have driven both and am fine with the 428i. My next car will be a 435i/M4 once my budget has increased...and it will

Why is de-badging a red flag? That would be the least of my worries when looking for any car. I'd be focusing on more important things like mechanical/physical/electrical integrity and whether it's been mechanically modded.

Personally, I think debadging makes the car look better and the only mod my bone-stock 435 has ever seen was badge removal which I did within days of bringing the car home.

Not worried about the actual debadging, to me its just a possible indication (not for sure just a hint towards) of someone who went forward with even further mods such as suspension etc etc.

I absolutely agree about engine/electrical/mechanical integrity being top priority and have already found a Euro mechanic in the area that will look at it. Just trying to decide if I am going to pursue first and negotiate with dealer.

The wheels appear to be 437M OEM or replicas based on the visual design, not 403M.

It's worth asking what wheels the vehicle has. If 437M OEM, then it's a big plus.

I second holding out for a 435. You will love the 6 turbo.

Good looking car though. I would leave the wheels as is.

I wouldn't go to that conclusion. As soon as I get my new ride in the garage, all the badges are stripped. I dislike having to wax around them, so they are gone.

As for the lip, it's 3M tape applied. I did the same to mine when buying.

So as iterated above, those two aren't red flags in my mind, and easily rectified.

The wheel gap does look low for OEM suspension.

I don't know if I agree on the appearance of the suspension. If the car was AWD, I'd agree, but my RWD 435 M Sport on the OEM adaptive suspension has about the same amount of gap in the wheel arches.

The lighting isn't very good, so it's hard to tell for sure and probably worth investigating.

That looks kinda expensive for a 428i......

Hell, if you were in Cali I would sell you my 2014 435i 6 speed with the exact color combo, m sports everything, for $26K!! This includes the Bilsteins b14s, m-perf exhaust and mperf lips. No Engine MODs.

the only drawback is that my car has 50K miles versus 38.5K miles on that, but thats because my car is older so I really think you can find a better deal.

Yea that price is a bit high. Also, it does not actually have the driver assistance package. I just spent 3 months searching for a 335/435 with m-sport, and that price is in line with a 2015 435i. May want to keep looking honestly.

Check mdecoder.com and enter the last 7 and you'll see what packages it truly has.

WBA3N7C53GK227628

Edit: it doesn't have the driver assistance that includes blind spot monitoring, lane watch, and frontal collision. That may be driver assistance plus? Regardless it's a nice car, but not clean enough for that price.
