I agree, the 3 series only really feels comparable to a C class (even a base one almost) when it has the full leather dash like the M3 otherwise I'm not a fan. It does however look like they upgraded the leather on standard steering wheel. Unless it's just me, every 3 series I've sat in (not including Msport as that steering wheel is my favorite) has been a kind of rough leather? Where as Audi and Mercedes even in their A3 and CLA have a very fine grain leather on their wheels?

There really is no excuse for BMW not to come up with a better quality interior for the next generation 3er. While you could option the interior to make it look of quality (walknappa dash) even the base c-class interior is leaps and bounds over the 3-Series.
I think Mercedes caught everyone by surprise with the c-class, even caused Audi to reportedly redo a few things on the next A4 so I would be very surprised if BMW didn't do more than they've done in the past. |

I think BMW is overstretched, both in terms of man power and budget. They will milk the cow for as much as possible before addressing anything seriously.

aw f*ck - seriously?!? I just spent 15 minutes crawling through this thread trying to figure out whether the 330d was a misprint in the header, and now I see it's not but that it's not coming to the U.S.?

Has anyone seen Platinum Silver Metallic in person?
If so, what were your impressions? Is it close to Space Gray? I also posted this question in the other forum. I've looked at dealer photos of cars in their inventory in this color, and that helps, but not the same as seeing in person. Thanks Bruce
