Looking for next power mod IDEA!
(2013 bmw 335ix f30 n55) Ive got aFe pro dry s drop in filter, aFe air scoop, BMS exhaust tips, painted reflectors, bootmod3 stage 1 93 octane, have a ER chargepipe ordered and awaiting shipment. I want more reliable power so im looking for ideas on what to do next, I live in NYS so their yearly smog testing is strict. so it keeps me from getting one. I have looked at the fabspeed highflow cat but people have said they do a visual exam. I would be taking it to the dealership for smog testing so I was wondering if they do a visual if there is no cel? so I guess the next upgrade is an intercooler. I don't have plans of upgrading my turbo so I heard wagner is good, but I don't want to void warranty so im looking at dinan. one of my main questions is.... I have the stock non m bumper so which intercooler would work best for the non m mbumper? I don't want to get an intercooler that is too big for my stock turbo or get covered by my bumper. any ideas?
Thanks in advance! (my first post) |

What warranty are you referring to? Dinan parts would be the same as any other aftermarket part on your 2013.
For fmic I'd get Wagner Evo I Competition or ATM ( ambient thermal management) |

thanks for the replies, I thought Dinan parts didn't void your bmw dealership warranty? yes I have looked at the wagner evo 1 intercooler I love it, I also just searched the ATM I have never seen it so I will check it out! Another question I have is when I am on the highway around 3k rpm to 4.5 rpm when I am in WOT my car stutters then picks back up, like a hesitation....I have the stock spark plugs on it ( I have the stage 1 bootmod3 93 octane tune)getting the NGK spark plugs and gapping them will this relive my problem? also I have been running stock chargepipe so I have taken tune off until I cant install the er charge pipe thanks

The Dinan warranty you're thinking about runs concurrent with the original 4yr-50000 warranty, which you no longer have. otherwise they have a 2yr warranty on their parts.
the stutter you are referring to seems to be a problem with fuel flow and not your sparkplugs or gap. some run a step colder plug. not sure i suggest you post threads like this in the appropriate sub-forum for better response https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/fo...play.php?f=421 |

No aftermarket part voids your warranty. BMW can refuse to do a certain job for free if they have evidence that one of your mods caused the failure or damage.
They cannot randomly deny warranty work on unrelated issues An intercooler is a must when tuning BMW, it does not add any pressure on any other component so it is a safe part warranty wise.
