You can get a lot of car for the £6-8K mark.

A saloon / estate auto diesel could fit the bill quite nicely.
- 2012ish Mercedes C class
- 2011 5 series
- 2015 Volkswagen Passat
- 2012 Jaguar XF
- 2013 Audi A4
- 2015/16 ford mondeo
- 2013 3 series 320d
- 2012 merc e class (most likely a clocked ex- taxi however)
-2014 Skoda Octavia

Based on your opinions of other brands, either keep yours at the end of the PCP and finance over a long time... or buy a high miler "premium" brand car and get some good breakdown cover and extended warranty.
