F30 LCI M Performance (Black Line) Tail Lights

Has anyone tinted these to any degree? Im wondering if smoking them would help with the aesthetics of the clear plastic'y portions

ikonmotorsports has these on ebay now. it seems like they are replicas though. can anyone confirm? waiting on a response from them.

Yes the ones from Icon Motorsport are replicas, they seem to be a little darker and price is cheaper.

And wiring that can be seen is a mess.

See other thread as people are having issues with these replicas taillights trying save a few bucks.

Wonder if its the harness or the lights. I think they look better than the OEM.

Agreed, they look better. Wonder if he bought the wrong year too there's 12-15 and then 16-present. Also that's on an f80, everything i saw these lights were made for the f30 to look like the f80 replacements. So maybe it's a different harness he needs

I just did this retrofit. Man, its pretty easy and it adds so much to the car. My car is AW with carbon fiber spoiler. It totally completes the look.

smoked 2 layers and the effect was quite impressive. initially looked rather dark but somehow under sun light, it looks awesome. putting it on over the next few days, will post the outcome when its done

i think they used some kinda smoked black clear paint to spray over the lights. Hope you guys like it

After the Winter both of my outer lights have condensation. I tried to apply silicone to the plasic weld but not easy to reach it. And the end result looks messy because the silicone is visible through the clear plastic so now I am removing the silicone...

Hey all, just bought a set with the harness. It's coming in the mail currently so I was hoping to get some info before it arrives. I'm in Canada and the lights will be Euro Spec. Is there anything special that needs to be done to get them working?

I've seen this video:

But someone in the comments of the video mention Euro Spec you have to 'tap into the existing outer blinker wires'. How do I go about doing that? Am I also still following the same wiring on the lights themselves like it's mentioned in the description?

You purchased the OEM Harness so you are fine.
