MPPSK Install in SoCal?
I just picked up a 340i and looking to get an MPPSK.
For those who had this installed, where did you get it done and how much did it cost? |

I live in Irvine, but had mine installed in El Cajon. The kit was roughly $2699 and the labor was around $510. I didn't shop around much, but you can probably find better. Found out later, Sterling BMW had a better price for the install. For a 340i that's still under warranty, it's totally worth it. It will feel like a completely different car.

Sterling quoted $3,240 for the kit + carbon tips + tax. The parts guy estimated $600-700 for the install... but he seemed to not know for sure. |

Breakdown... MPPSK was $2699 Tips were $99 each (they gave me titanium instead of chrome) Dealer install was $600, but SA (Brent) gave me 15% off ($510) With tax ended up being a little over $3,600. It's worth every penny IMHO. You can probably get Sterling to match it if you don't want to make the drive. Other dealers were quoting a boatload more. I drove down to El Cajon from Irvine to have it done took about 3+ hours. Highly recommend Brent from El Cajon BMW (knows his stuff). He gave me titanium tips instead of chrome and he knocked 15% off labor. Took me back to see the box before they installed it (you're right...it's massive).. https://pasteboard.co/I7p1iXn.jpg Good luck! |

If you do not plan on doing more performance modification then go for the full mppsk kit. Find it online for cheapest possible and then take to dealership who will installed for low price. That's probably the best route to take if you don't plan on modifying your car further. If you plan on doing more performance modification then don't waste your money on the MPPSK. Buy an exhaust and get bootmod3 which will probably have the mppsk map but will have better ones as well with other suppprting mods. That's my 2 cents. Good luck!
