F31 340i Touring Value?

I was hoping that you guys may be able to help.

We are planning on moving from the UK to Australia in the next year or so, we will be importing one of the cars (997 so definitely worth it) but I'm still thinking about the 2018 F31 340i.

Hypothetically thinking, what do you guys think the market price would be for a 2016 F31 340i with 100K km? (Comparative to where it will be when we get there.)

1 owner (two if we need to transfer into my partner's name for 12 months before exporting), shadow edition, adaptive suspension, pro Nav, folding mirrors and the all important heated seats ideal for the Australian climate.

Cheers

This is just my oppinion but i would start by looking at what a 340i sedan and 330i station wagon as a starting point

Unfortunately sport wagons are not major sellers here, but they are loved by a few. As you know we dont get the 340i wagon so its hard to put a value on it

But one thing for sure is if yo bought that down you would have one unique ride that would be envied amongst BMW fan boys

Thanks for the feedback.

It's certainly a car I would like to keep for a few more years longer even if we stayed in the UK, probably more so down there due to its rarity.

I forgot to mention, it also have MPPSK, is that available in Australia?

Agree with the above, the F31 340i was never available in Oz (let alone with the MPPSK), though our NZ friends did get it...hence hard to put a dollar value on it but since it would be rare in Oz, you have that in your favour. but the appetite for wagons is low in Australia (speaking as a proud F31 328i owner)

I have a 330i F31 and I've been surprised how the value has held reasonably well, although relatively low ks.

However, as someone above pointed out "tourings" are not very popular here and I'd say there are probably more A4 avants around than 3 series touring.

Needless to say a 340i F31 in touring form could be very desirable amongst enthusiasts, although I think 100,000kms for a local 2016 car would be well on the higher side and may put people off paying any sort of premium.

UK imports also always take a penalty on price compared with dryer local cars unless they are near perfect.

I'd look on our local www.carsales.com.au to get an idea of F31 prices compared with UK values. Here you will be competing with the F31 330i m sport.

Otherwise if you can store a car for 12 months I'd be looking at something rarer and of signifcantly more value here like a 911 from the 70s or 80s or a 993 if you want to go a bit newer.

Thanks for the feedback.

From my research so far it think I'll be $10K better off after costs etc, so probably worth the effort as I love the car and can't think what to replace it with when I get there for $10k less.

I won't be bringing it to make money and I'll be bringing the 997 too as my long term toy (which should double in value), air cooled are unfortunately already out of my price range in the uk!

Thanks again.
