I just added an AA catted downpipe to my MPPSK exhaust. It drastically changes the sound. Its raspier, deeper and racier in tone. When the flaps open, it goes from civil to unrest faster than a racist cop. It's loud, but it sounds fantastic!

The standard drone heard cruising down the highway is intense, however, close the valves and it goes away completely. The difference between sport and comfort is far more pronounced.

CG catted pairs well with aftermarket exhausts, its a lot more aggressive on sport mode but keeps the car fine to drive in comfort

AA with MPPSK is the best. Highest CPSI so it has the least drone. Perfect sound in my opinion

The AA has a hi-flow cat right?

This is crazy to hear. I know sound is subjective but I get so many compliments on my catless +MPPSK sound. Valves closed sounds good, Like VQ-ish. and valves open just sounds like a beast. Especially in-between gear shifts when it makes that snapping sound

One thing I wonder is if people turn off the ridicolous "active sound" or whatever bullshit BMW calls it. The piped in cabin noise. Turning that off with bimmercode made the car sooooo much more bearable. There was soooo much drone with the MPPSK when I had it on and it completely went away when I coded that out. Of course now with the Catless DP not much you can do about that.

How loud is the startup with a catted downpipe? The mppsk is already pretty loud and I'm afraid a downpipe will make my neighbors want to kill me.

My car has the MPPSK exhaust off my previous car, but not the complimentary tune that goes along with it. I use BM3 in conjunction so it gives me far more ability to tailor the power and sound. Here's my setup:

- Active sound turned off (it was like another singer singing out of tune)
- Cold Start off
- GTS Startup Roar on (my guilty pleasure)
- Comfort Valves on OEM (open over 3.5k or so)
- Sport Valves on OEM (Open on throttle, closed on cruise, eliminates a lot of highway drone)

I'm still toying with the burbles. I have the aggression turned way down, but I'm going to just turn them off. It burbles naturally anyways it seems and that's enough for me. MPPSK stock tuned burbles were far quieter and mild without the DP but with it and the tune, they're much more pronounced.

With this setup, highway drone is mostly eliminated even in Sport. Only time it does occur is at 80 mph while I'm accelerating slightly. While cruising, valves are closed, no drone. In Comfort it's always quiet with zero drone.

If you're running this combo without a 3rd party tune, you're leaving a TON of power on the table, but you lose your warranty.

I am running Wagner 300cell with mppsk .

Sound is perfect in comfort mode with D for daily drive

going over to manuel in comfort the valve is open and the sound is a bit louder and pops

Sport and sport + is just awsome. Sounds amazing and it´s loud

I love the GTS roar start up mode, but if you need to be quiet in mornings the cold start delete is great. Nothing big at all on start up and just drive away

I am running MHD

I've heard this before, maybe its just a case with my mechanic forgetting to disable it or something, but I know for a fact, mine was still on after the MPPSK install by the dealer. There was so much drone inside the cabin it was insane. After I disabled it, I was kind of disappointed with how quiet it was in the cabinet with the windows rolled up. Hence me going catless lol.

I am planning on installing CG DS-1 with my MPPSK so I may be able to get some sound clips. I just want to run stage 2 MHD and add some volume. I ran catless before on n54 but that was stock exhaust. I think with MPPSK having no resonators catless can get very raspy whereas the catted retains more of the MPPSK designed tone.
