New Things on New Cars
It seems that every car I move on to has a new "feature" that initially I think, Meh, what do I need that for, but eventually i realise what an excellent thing it is and how did I live without it.
On this car it's the HUD, I cannot believe how much I use it and how little I need to look away from the road, on my next car this will be a must have. So what have you found on yours that you feel is now a necessary feature for any future purchase? |

HUD is a game changer.
TPM In tires is something I didn't have in my previous non bmw cars but it gave me OCD, finding myself checking it every time I go over a little bump in the road : |

Fourthed.
Plus the rear cam which I had to retrofit as I missed it since my previous F series. And the anti crash thing in the front grille, but only because I took my eye off the ball and it kicked in when the traffic stopped suddenly

Heated steering wheel for me too, mine doesn't have a HUD but I'm sure I'd like it!

My second f31 went heavy on the options, everytime I jump in another car I find I’m missing the following:
Adaptive headlights HUD Adaptive cruise Heated steering wheel |

HUD for me when I first got it I thought nothing special and was a little... meh.... but then drove my wife’s car without it and wow you don’t realise how much you use it till its gone! Will ensure my next car has this agin.
I miss my adaptive lights though from my previous car, I do a lot of night driving on unlit roads and will look for this next time as a must have. |

HUD. Yep, once I had it for the first time on my 440i, I had to spec it on the replacement.
On my current car, the new must have it next time is.... Steer assist combined with adaptive cruise. I'm on my first heated steering wheel and, whilst I like it, I wouldn't miss it as much as many other features.

HUD - Never look at the instruments anymore, accept fuel!
Heated steering wheel - Just so nice on cold and cool days. Rear Camera - Great for parking up to lines. Wish I had specced 360 view - would greatly help my defensive parking on car parks. What I wasted my money on. Pro Nav - Never ceases to amaze me how shite the routing is. |

An internal combustion engine.
No more faffing around cleaning up after the horses or for ever feeding them grass.

HUD
DAP - Rear view camera and park distance control What I don't have that I would really like to have in the next one: Adaptive LEDs Remote engine start (my daughter this on her '18 Impala. I'm a wee bit jealous lol) |

Panoramic roof, electric seats with lumbar and parking sensors, none of which I would have thought as "essential" prior to owning this car.
