any one done this for a BMW i3 2018 ?
WBY8P22030VE37261 It is SUPER easy. You will need to go into Expert Mode in two menus. In HEADUNIT Menu...go into Expert mode then 3003_Telefon_Telematik_Online Turn these to "Aktiv" : CDMM_Bluetooth_Audio CDMM_BT_DATABASE AUDIO_PLAYER_ON_OFF BT_MODUL_ON_OFF A2DP_PROFILE In COMIBOX Menu....go into Expert mode then 3004_Bluetooth_Parameter and turn this to "Aktiv" : A2DP_AVRCP_EIN_AUS Its that simple. Hope this helps! Again Thanks again to Danny Montes!!! All credit goes to him! |

Hi, I did this on my F30 with CIC HU and it seems to have worked (just need to start an audio library on my phone).
Would this work on an E90 with a CIC HU? I realize the firmware is a few years older, so it may not have been an option then. |

After the coding, will it work also to pair two phones to the car? One would be for Carplay and the second to be as normal phone connected to bluetooth? I had this thing in the initial setup but, after a retrofit, it just disappeared. Thanks!

Hello All, all new to this coding. I have tried using the info at start of the thread but not for some reason it is not saving to the ecu.
I have made the changes in expert mode, hit code and then come out. Am I missing something? Also can anyone help if and what I need to change coding wise to get the microphone just above my head to work as when I press the voice button on the steering wheel nothing happens. |

Please help me. I tried to code the Head Unit to get Enhanced Bluetooth using the post above and now the Head Unit does not turn on (it loops by trying to turn on here and there), nor does it show up as a module in BimmerCode when trying to restore a backup. It intermittently at times tries to reboot and says No Signal but then switches off right away. I was using the Veepak OBDCheck BLE+ bluetooth adapter with BimmerCode app to code. I also have the black Comms box (not the silver one) in the boot as the people are stating in that thread (see below). My Head Unit is a NBT HU model (see below). Update: I then had the Head Unit checked by a coder via the OBD connection, and he was using E-Sys. He couldn't see the Head Unit in his program. It was greyed out as there was no power to the Head Unit. All fuses and wirings including the battery were checked and seemed okay. He had taken the Head Unit out and said he will try to do it on a bench. He updated me saying it is totally unresponsive still and not showing up. And that I may need to get a replacement Head Unit now. Any other ideas for a fix before I go down the road of replacing the Head Unit now? Regards. |

Hello,
I ended up having to replace my Head Unit as original one would not turn on anymore (it was confirmed that it got bricked, after I followed those steps which clearly did not work: https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...6&postcount=32). I got a professional coder who then tried to flash the new Head Unit to my VIN but the Navigation and Voice Commands do not work anymore. Last edited by NiNjA_; 08-17-2021 at 02:57 PM.. |
