And the Ascona 400 was also one of my car crushes. Can you tell my brother worked at a Vauxhall Opel garage. The Monza GSE 3000 was another that I always wanted and never got!
I saw a Monza last week, or possibly it was a a Royale, must be many years since I last saw one on the road.

Finally I remembered it. My weird car crush.

Honda e

Yes an EV. I just think it looks incredible. The mirrors, the 80s retro modern hot hatch look. Its compact size.

Frameless windows, that interior

Shame the range is terrible.

Do I need to get myself checked, or is it quite cool. I do mean cool by the way, it's not in any way practical but it's just .... characterful and lovable. Weird Car Crush.

Saw one at the Honda dealership when getting the airbag recalled on the CR-V (I suspect the airbag is now worth more than the rest of the car!), it's a stunning looking car. Runs rings round the generic derivative tosh that Mini etc are pumping out. If I was in the market for a small car to use locally it would be right at the top of my list.

I drove a Honda e just before I bought the Mini Electric. My mate bought one for his wife and they love it. It's fully loaded with tech but in the end I liked the way the Mini felt and also the BMW type i-drive and controls. Remember the pre-LCI indicators in the F3x cars that don't lock? They have those!

My father took it to his office in Luton one day and we never saw it again!

I am putting that one in the weird category. Fair enough ETTO.

Sales type guy at my old place had the V8. A known...let's be polite and say bragger...he claimed to have driven the Severn Bridge in the wrong direction. His stories of drives in his monster V8 were tediously unbelievable.

Me too. Sad I missed out on one. Even sadder that they replaced it with a typical bland crossover that could be from any brand.

Reviving this thread after spending ages looking for a new "family car".

I've fallen for the Dacia Duster. No idea what they're like to live with but I'm liking the simplicity of it, the design isn't half bad, it just seems a simple, cheerful thing and I love it.

I feel a sense of shame about admitting I like it

Oh. And then there's the Top Gear Magazine "Knuckle Duster" which has an air of cool about it
