First time I'm using a cover on the car, usually it just sits bare. But yes, the 340 definitely gets treated way better than the truck even though the truck is way more useful. I remember when I wished I had a carport, then when I got a carport I wished I had a garage, and now with a one car garage I wish I had a barn.

We had 2 cars and a 1 car garage, bought the convertible and then a month later moved, had 3 cars with a 2 car garage. 1st world issue but never the less…… so I understand!

Installed a prepainted ebay "M3 style" trunk lip. For $75 (was on sale) I'm pretty happy with it.

It's not really an eyesore unless you're looking for it but it's kind of obvious to me when I'm opening and closing the trunk. I figure it'll get dirty over time and I'll notice it less and less, but to speed up the process a bit (and ease my OCD) I used a super fine point oil-based paint pen to try to dye as much of it as possible:

I see, yes the paint definitely helps.

Weather has been averaging pretty cold lately so finally switched over to my 400M winter set.

Debating selling them next year, making my 704M the winter set, and getting some nice aftermarket options for summer

If you do decide to sell them in the spring I'm potentially interested and local to you so lmk.

Also want to ask how the car drives with the 235/45's on it. Any noticeable change in acceleration with the slight increase in diameter?

Certainly will reach out to you if I end up selling.

Re. the 235, I personally do not notice any difference between acceleration. I may not be the right person to answer that though, because I am coming from summer tyres that are also larger and staggered vs. this smaller square set.

If anything, I do notice that the rear end is a bit squirrel-ier during hard acceleration by the nature of it being softer winter rubber compound. The slightly thicker rubber also helps with shitty greater NYC roads that are wrecked by salt and plowing.

Nothing exciting… swapped the wheels. Summers off, winters on.

It's been below 5 degrees most of the last week but I was away, and then below freezing this weekend so did the wheels on my wife and my car today.

Only day I've had in the last month to do it, and about the only day I've got to do it in the next 2 weeks as well, especially to have both cars there at the same time whilst all the jack and tools are out to do it. And I need to get one set of wheels out the garage to access the other cars' wheels too.

2 options:

1. The easy fix. Use a permanent ink black sharpie marker to color in the white double sided tape. Don't worry, the permanent ink will come off the car's paint with rubbing alcohol.

2. Not so easy fix. Use black/grey 3M automotive molding tape instead of the white foam dbl sided tape. I've never had the best luck with the white dbl sided craft tape on anything automotive. It's too thick and the spoiler will eventually lift and separate from the tape (looking at the photo it appears it has already started). Keep an eye on it so it doesn't end up flying off or worse into someone else's car.

I already colored it in with a black paint pen and it looks okay now so I'll probably be leaving it as is. In terms of the 3M tape, so far it seems to be holding up really well and there's no movement or flex whatsoever even when I apply a lot of force so I'm hopeful it'll stay put long term. I had the body shop that installed it put some extra glue like adhesive at each end so I'm confident it won't lift and fly off.
