In February I was looking for a used BMW X3 for my wife who, because of our kids, had been relegated to a minivan for more than a decade. My DD was a 1999 328i which I had purchased new and driven for over 22 years. I wasn’t planning on a car for myself at the time - really!! - but I did a ‘what if’ search on late model MT, RWD 3-series sedans. Stumbled on a 1-owner 2017 340i in Estoril blue optioned exactly how I would have ordered it (M-Sport, Technology, Track packages). Pristine condition with only 25,000 miles and 9 months factory warranty remaining. After a lot of discussion with the dealer, I bought it and had it shipped to me (I had never driven it). It was not a CPO and I paid $35K. The car is somewhat of a unicorn and I paid top dollar.

I love the car and have continued to put $$ into it:
- Paint protection film on front surfaces (incl. hood, pillars, mirrors, leading edge of roof) - $1700
- MPPSK (dealer installed) - $3,800
- M-Perf LSD - $3,400

Crazy, I know, but the car is exactly what I wanted. Yes, I could have gotten a good used M for the same money, but this one is more my style - a sleeper, a (relatively) unassuming exterior that just rocks! I hope to drive it for a long, long time. No regrets so far.

Oh, and I did get my wife her X3 about a month later.

Just enjoy it man. I bought my first car a few weeks ago after years of anticipation. Paid around 38 after fees for a 2018 near fully loaded CPO with 23k on the clock. Prices are inflated sure but I knew it was going to make me happy

Congrats! Glad you found it and optioned the way you wanted.

I decided to custom order an F32 440 exactly the way I wanted it including 6MT, M-Sport, M Susp, Exec Pkg, HUD, HK stereo, 704M wheels, and BMW Individual paint in Tanzanite Blue. Sure it cost a few dollars (!) but very time I get in to drive it, I smile. Completely worth every penny.
