Looking to lower my car

I drive a 2014 335i msport and im looking to lower my car. Im not looking to slam it just get rid of the huge gap. I live In ontario so snow is a factor. Coils or springs? Id like to keep the adaptive suspension so i guess coils would be my best choice.

Anyways can someone provide me with so info on what my best option is? Thanks

I've got BCs. I like them a lot. Definitely pretty low but you can go as high or low as you want to get the perfect stance for your application.

Looks amazing, have you had any issues with premature wear on suspension components?

I've had them for a few months so time will tell. I've had coilovers on a few cars. Never had any issues as long as you buy a decent quality set

Did some research and the best springs seem to be either eibach or H&R

You are xdrive so Eibach euro pn. Can get on eBay.

Or kw street comforts so you can crank it back up to stock height for snow clearance. Actually rides extremely well maxed out.

Avoid H&R- way too stiff. Get Eibach.

You do not mean coilovers if you want to keep your Adaptive dampers. Most coilovers force you to give that up. Just get Eibach springs.

2015 BMW 335xi  [0.00]
2015 335xi here on Eibach 05-22 springs with Koni Yellows and replaced factory F30 bump stops with factory F80 bump stops from local BMW parts dept. Very happy, would not do anything differently.

I recommend looking at this thread;
Any EIBACH SPRINGS on F30 335i X-DRIVE? https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1501682

Also, if looking to do the install yourself I highly recommend this incredible video from Farkle;

I did not have adaptive to start with, so this was not a concern I had to factor in.

If you lower it's a good idea to replace stock bump stops with shorter bump stops from the M3. It prevents prematurely hitting bump stops when you hit a bump. See photo

Is your F30 335i with Adaptive dampers an XDrive or RWD? What is your mileage?

Xdrive with adaptive dampers

140k km
I'd recommend installing a set of Eibach springs meant for XDrive. See photo for part number. They lower the front more than the rear to balance out the BMW reverse rake where the front gap is more than the rear. It's a mild front 0.8", read 0.6" so you won't stress XDrive components and won't have a snow issue. Eibachs are 10% stiffer for more control, not 30% stiffer like other springs that make suspension harsh.

Tip: with higher mileage cars, replace the other components above and below the springs at the same time. They have degraded with age and wear. This restores new car suspension feel. See photos. Get part numbers from realoem website.

You are smart to keep the EDC/Adaptive damper technology that you paid for. Keep an eye on them since they often leak when they wear out. They must be replaced in pairs. Bilstein B4-DampTronic are stock replacements. Bilstein B6-DampTronic are their higher quality replacements.

With your mileage, I would suggest replacing at least the front struts with DampTronics at the same time as the springs. The struts have to be removed anyway to swap the springs so the strut labor is essentially free if done at the same time. The labor on the rears is less so you could wait on the rears if you don't have the cash for rear DampTronics at the same time.

Hope this helps!
